Job description:

• The Ideal Candidate will provide technical and project leadership in the development and ongoing maintenance of Java/J2EE architecture standards and related supporting technologies under the Lead Application Architects direction in Information Services.
• Key delivery areas include strategies, standards and solutions around Java framework-based development, model-driven application development using the Rational toolset, and ERP and/or best-of-breed packaged application integration to the enterprise.
• The Candidate will provide application and integration design leadership and ongoing governance over application quality and supportability.
• The candidate will provide technology and process leadership in the following specific areas: establish and maintain AG Java architecture design and development standards, documentation, reference implementations and vendor certification; architect and implement extensions to the Java architecture to accommodate key supporting technologies.
• The candidate will involve in the development and ongoing refinement of Corporate SDLC standards and practices, with key areas being around the framework, modeling, O-O design, O-O implementation, and testing; mentoring, ongoing internal/external designer and developer certification, and ongoing quality enforcement of SDLC deliverables; and support of active projects as the assigned Application Architect or as an expert technical resource.

Required Experience:

• The ideal candidate is required to have 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Object Oriented Programming, Java/JSP/Servlet Application Development, IBM WebSphere and WebSphere Application Developer.
• The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of Model View and Controller (MVC2) design pattern, Struts framework, and Hibernate; and must be proficient in Spring framework, UML (Use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams and class diagrams), application methodologies and business requirements gathering via use case techniques.
• The ideal candidate is required to have 3-5 years as a technical lead mentoring and coaching others with UML, OOP, object methodologies, Java related technologies and RDBMS/persistence management.
• The ideal candidate will possess the Sun Certified Developer certification and one of the advanced Sun certifications (Web Component, Business Component, Java Web Services, or Enterprise Architect). PC/MSOffice skills, OO methodologies, Rational RSA/RAD tool, Swing, HTML, JavaScript, web/application servers (open source), strong interpersonal skills, and self motivating.
